ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES:
Check in time is 2:30pm. Check out time is 10.30am
Reception is open from 8am to 6pm Sunday to Thursday, and 8am to 7pm on Friday & Saturday.
If you are planning to arrive after reception has closed, please notify us upon making your booking. We can arrange for your check-in information to be left at reception for you. Our after-hours telephone number is 027 650 7179.
STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations or changes made to a booking within 48 hours of check in/ arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation at your confirmed room rate.
LARGE BOOKINGS CANCELLATION POLICY:
A large booking is one of more than 10 nights and across more than 4 rooms. For cancellations or changes made to a large booking, the following applies:
within 2 weeks of the arrival date/check-in time will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking value;
within 4 weeks of the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the accommodation booking value;
outside of 4 weeks of the arrival date, no fee will be incurred
GUARANTEE POLICY:
All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card at time of booking. Please note, the credit card provided is used to guarantee the booking only, payment will not be taken from this credit card, unless a cancellation fee is incurred. The credit card used to guarantee your stay must be valid at the date of your stay.

Amendments may be made by contacting the Hotel directly. The original daily room rate is not guaranteed and may be subject to change when amending a booking.
Advance purchase bookings: Notwithstanding the cancellation and amendment terms set out above, advance purchase bookings are not refundable and bookings may not be modified. If you depart early, cancel or fail to honour your booking for any reason, you will not receive any credit or refund. Your credit card will be charged upon booking for your entire stay.
Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when staying at The Martinborough Hotel. By submitting a booking on this website, you warrant that at least one of the guests who will be staying is 18 years of age or over. If sufficient identification cannot be presented on arrival, The Martinborough Hotel reserves the right to refuse to honour the booking.
Guests will be required to present a valid credit card on arrival to cover the cost of the booking, any incidentals incurred and/or any damage caused by you to your room (fair wear and tear excepted) during the stay. Guests unable to provide a valid credit card will be required to make full payment of the cost of the booking together with a NZD$200 cash bond on arrival.
A 2% surcharge will apply to all VISA and Mastercard payments, and a 3% surcharge applies to AMEX payments.
All payments, including settlement of your account on your departure, are to be made in NZ currency.
Check-in time is any time after 2:30pm on the first day of the relevant booking, unless by prior arrangement you have confirmed an Early Check in.
Check-out time is any time before 10:30am on the last day of the relevant booking unless by prior arrangement you have confirmed a Late Departure.
If you leave anything behind in your room, we are able to courier this to you and will pass on the courier fee plus a $25 handling fee.
Bookings made via an online agent such as Booking.com or Expedia must be cancelled by the guest via this agent before The Martinborough Hotel is able to formally cancel the booking
The maximum number of guests per room is 2 adults or one adult, one child. Additional adults or children are only allowed if a rollaway bed has been purchased for a Garden Suite. Infants (under 2 years) can be added to the room for no charge, unless a portacot is required. Failure to book appropriate rooms/bed numbers for your group may result in members of your party being turned away and/or penalty charges.
No pets are allowed to stay at The Martinborough Hotel unless by prior arrangement under special circumstances.
The Martinborough Hotel is a smoke-free premise. This includes all inside and outside areas. No smoking or Vaping is allowed in rooms. Should you and/or your guest(s) smoke or vape in a room a cleaning fee shall apply at the rate of $750, regardless of room type. You will also be responsible for all costs, damage and liabilities arising as a result of smoking and/or any smoke detectors being activated by you, including a fine of NZD$500 for tampering with the smoke detectors in any way.
A soiling fee of $300 will apply if you soil the room or bathroom or any furniture.
You will be liable to The Martinborough Hotel for the costs of remedying any damage you cause to your room (fair wear and tear excepted). The Martinborough Hotel reserves the right to recover all or part of such costs from your credit card or your cash bond.
No illegal drugs or associated paraphernalia are allowed to be brought onto the Hotel premises.
The Martinborough Hotel reserves the right to cancel or modify a booking where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the booking contains, or has resulted from, a mistake or error.
The Martinborough Hotel has a strict no noise and no party policy. We reserve the right to limit the number of people in any one room and to remove people from the Hotel if noise levels exceed acceptable levels and are reducing the enjoyment levels of other guests. If we are required to reimburse another guest for their stay due to the noise created by you or your guest, we will pass this charge onto you.
The Martinborough Hotel makes its best efforts to ensure that the information available on its website is accurate. However, The Martinborough Hotel cannot and does not guarantee that the website is free from errors or faults. The Martinborough Hotel does not accept liability for any errors or omissions on its website and reserves the right to change information published on the website at any time.
The Martinborough Hotel does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with its website or for any products or services purchased from its website.
The rates displayed on this website are not commissionable to registered travel agents, including the International Association of Travel Agents.
These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws in force in New Zealand. You irrevocably submit to and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
The Martinborough Hotel recognises the privacy concerns of its customers, clients, guests, contacts and the users of its website. We store your details in our Property Management System as a profile. Which in the future can be used for any other bookings which will already have your preferences mentioned so we can cater all your needs.
